Jesus uses a small meal of bread and fish to feed a very large crowd.

The story in Scripture

A large crowd followed Jesus, and the people needed food. A boy had five loaves and two fish. Jesus gave thanks, multiplied the meal, and fed everyone until they were satisfied.

Read it together in your Bible: John 6:1–14.

What we learn

God can use what we willingly offer, even when it seems small.

Talk about it

  1. What food did the boy share?
  2. What did Jesus do before distributing the food?
